What We Do Not Take On
We don't do new-construction framing, and we don't build garages from the slab up. If you're adding a structure, that's a contractor's job, not ours. We also don't stock every custom import door on the market - if you want a specialty wood door that has to be special-ordered, expect a wait, and we'll tell you that up front instead of quoting a date we can't hit. We don't touch structural issues behind the door opening either: if the header or jamb is failing, that gets fixed before we hang anything on it. And we're not going to sell you a new opener when a $30 sensor realignment solves the problem - on a lot of the houses in this stretch, built between 1947 and 2012, the door and track are original and the opener is the only thing that's been swapped, so the fix is usually smaller than people expect. We say no to jobs outside garage doors and their hardware: openers, springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels. That's the scope. Keeping it narrow means we're not guessing on work we don't do every week.
Straight Answers
Across the service area there are about 86,713 households and 32,463 owner-occupied houses, which is the installed base we're working against - a lot of garage doors, a lot of different ages of hardware, no single fix that covers all of it. Median household income here runs around $100,007, and what that tends to mean in practice is more requests for insulated panels and quieter belt-drive openers as upgrades, not just break-fix calls. We'll give you a straight read on whether a repair is worth doing versus replacing the door outright - on a door old enough that parts are hard to source, replacement is often the cheaper call over time, and we'll say so even if the repair would be the bigger invoice that day. We don't pad a diagnosis to make a sale. If the spring is the only thing wrong, that's what gets fixed.
